Workshop “Port Dues and Other Incentives for Greener Cruise Ports” (WP4-E17) of the GREEN CRUISE PORT (GCP) project will take place in Latvia, Riga 25-26 April 2018 and will be hosted by the project partner from Latvia- the Freeport of Riga Authority.

The workshop is the organised as a part of the workshop series of the GREEN CRUISE PORT project under Work Package 4: Smart Cruise Port Traffic Solutions (incl. Accessibility) and Economic Effects.

The Freeport of Riga Authority is welcoming to participate in the workshop all project partners and association parties as well as relevant stakeholders of the cruise industry.

The workshop is a great opportunity to develop a common platform for a harmonised approach of the economic effective port dues as green incentives, sustainable and innovative approaches in green cruise terminal development at the Baltic Sea Region and beyond.

Invited speakers are recognised experts in the sector. During the workshop they will present their know-how and share their experience on the selected following workshop topics, such as:

  • the port dues as instrument for environmental charging,
  • sustainability development,
  • port dues and economics,
  • port green incentives as a tool for the economic effective approach.

Speakers and participants jointly will participate in discussions and share advanced opinions making common conclusions on the proposed key issues.
