Mr. Edgars Suna: “The Freeport of Riga Authority takes part in the exhibition “TransSiberia” for the first time. Being the Port Authority it is important for us to communicate with Novosibirsk region businessmen and together with port companies and cargo forwarders to promote cargo transportation options via the port of Riga. Novosibirsk region is one of the largest Russia’s regions, as well as one of the most industrially developed regions in Siberia. The region boasts well-developed transport infrastructure, and it is an important transport and logistics center in Siberian Federal region. Moreover, the area is very rich in natural mineral resources. Therefore cargo transportation to and from the port of Riga might be advantageous for the both parties”.
