The Port police is an armed structural unit of the Freeport of Riga Authority, established to maintain public order and to facilitate law enforcement, and in compliance with the law "On Police", Latvian legislation and its competence the Port police is operating in the Freeport of Riga territory. Addressing the issues of work organization the Port police cooperates with the State Police, the Security Police, the National Guards, the customs authorities of the State Revenue Service and other institutions.
