25.02.2011.

Yesterday, on February 24, despite the critical meteorological situation in the Gulf of Riga and the Baltic Sea, the record number of vessels was serviced.

19 ships have been serviced between February 24 8:00 AM and February 25 8:00 AM. Among them 7 ships have entered, 7 ships have left, and 5 have been shifted.

The serviced vessels entered came from Stockholm, Goteborg, Klaipeda, Bremen and left to Stockholm, Rotterdam, as well as the Ports of Spain and France. The vessels, serviced yesterday at the Freeport of Riga transport containers, coal, oil products and other types of cargoes.

This is very high index, compared with port activities in summer and weather conditions favorable for shipping.

Herewith the Freeport of Riga Authority denies any blames about the uneconomical activities and failure to work in complicated meteorological conditions, like these days.
