Freeport of Riga Authority is satisfied with the work of the Riga Customs Criminal Board and the Central Criminal Police Department Organized Crime Enforcement Department and arresting of drug cargo.
The Freeport of Riga Authority closely cooperates with all state security bodies represented at the port for many years. Up to now, several successful arrest operations of illegal fuel thefts have been realized, and the Freeport of Riga Authority regularly provides support of various kinds to the state security bodies that execute various operational measures in the territory of the Freeport of Riga.
Every month meetings of the Riga Port Advisory Board take place at the Freeport of Riga. All representatives of the state security bodies participate in these meetings. The implemented preventive measures have notably reduced the risks of criminal offence at the Freeport of Riga.
Also in future the Freeport of Riga Authority will provide the necessary support to the state law enforcement bodies so as not to permit illegal activities and operatively react to any infringement of law.
