During the first five months of the current year 11.969 MLN tons of cargoes were handled at the Freeport of Riga that is by 15.7% more than during respective period of the last year.
This year sharply increased the number of bulk cargoes handled, by 31.5%, reaching 7.840 MLN tons, the general cargoes for their part met decrease by 8.1% less than during respective period of the last year. In total 2.083 MLN tons of these cargoes were handled.
The same decrease by 3.1% was for the liquid cargoes. 2.046 MLN tons of liquid cargoes were handled in total this year.
The Freeport of Riga during first five months has serviced 128 711 passengers, which is by 24.2% more than a year ago.
