During the first two months of the current year 3,655 MLN tons of cargoes were handled, which is by 3.6% less than during respective period of the last year, when the Freeport handled 3,791.4 MLN tons of cargos.
This year 2,1 MLN tons of bulk cargoes were handled. The amounts of general cargos were 799,500 tons and of liquid cargos – 747 100 tons.
This year 2,108 MLN tons of bulk cargoes are handled, which is by 5.3% less comparing with 2,225 MLN tons last year.
During the first two months of the current year 799 500 tons of general cargos were handled, which is by 1.8% more than during the respective period of the last year when 785 000 tons were handled.
The amounts of liquid cargos have declined by 4.3% reaching 747 100 tons, comparing with 2006, when 780 900 tons were handled.
During the first two months of the current year 22 343 passengers were serviced in the Freeport of Riga, which is by 8.5 times more than last year.
