The Freeport of Riga Authority continues the implementation of the project “Improvement and Promotion of the East Baltic Coast Harbours Network“, EST-LAT177 (EASTBALTIC HARBOURS).

On February 23, 2022, the Freeport of Riga Authority entered a procurement contract with SIA Forston for the supply and installation of additional equipment in the yacht port at Matrožu Street, Riga, with the aim to improve the yacht service. In the framework of the contract, 32 m extension of the existing marina breakwater m, construction of a new 32 m breakwater, extension of the existing yacht berths, as well as supply and installation of additional equipment (yacht mooring fingers, electricity and water supply pedestal, navigation buoys) are being planned.

The amount of the contract is 128 918.19 EUR without value added tax. The works are planned to be completed by October 2022.

The total budget of the project for the Freeport of Riga Authority is 243 918.19 EUR, including co-financing of the ERDF Interreg Estonia-Latvia program in the amount of 206 975.00 EUR.
