More than 865,000 passengers and 80 cruise ships every year

The port of Riga is a thriving passenger port. Cargo and passenger ferry traffic is provided every day and more than 80 cruise ships, representing about 30 different cruise operators, visit the port of Riga every year during the cruise season.

One of the main objectives, stipulated by the Freeport of Riga Development Program 2019-2028, is to make Riga a significant port for cruise and passenger ferries in the Baltic Sea region. In the coming years, it is planned to welcome up to 150 thousand cruise passengers and accommodate at least 150 cruise ships per year in Riga.

The port of Riga boasts an excellent infrastructure, developed in compliance with the requirements of modern passenger transport and cruise industry. The safe arrival and quality of service is provided for passenger vessels calling the port, reducing their impact on the environment and the urban ecosystem.
