Ostu pārvaldības digitālā transformācija

The management of the project aimed at digitization of Latvian ports and logistics corridors has been undertaken by the Freeport of Riga Authority, while the Port Authority of Ventspils, the Liepaja Special Economic Zone Authority, the Ministry of Transport, the VSIA “Maritime Administration of Latvia”, SJSC “Latvijas Dzelzceļš”, SIA “LDz Cargo”, the SRS Customs Administration and the State Border Guard will participate as partners.

Ports are hubs for multimodal sea, land and rail freight. To facilitate the digitisation of these cargo and their related documents and data flows and to develop the automation of port and logistics processes, the project will develop an integrated shared platform for multimodal cargo services for sea and land freight, including the exchange of data with existing national information systems. The implementation of the project will significantly improve the speed of freight movement, reduce the administrative burden and environmental impact, as well as contribute to the competitiveness of Latvian freight corridors and the digital development of each partner.

The project is being implemented with co-financing from the European Union Recovery and Resilience Facility. The funding for its implementation is 3.24 million euros, but maintenance and development in the future will be provided by the ports themselves. The deadline for the implementation of the project is March 31, 2026.
