During the first four months of the current year 8,3 MLN tons of cargoes were handled at the Freeport of Riga, which is by 7% more than within the respective period of the last year, when 7,8 MLN tons were handled.


During the first four months of the current year 5,2 MLN tons of bulk cargoes were handled at the Freeport of Riga which is by 19,9% more than within the respective period of the last year, when 4,3 MLN tons were handled.

Also 1,6 MLN tons of liquid cargoes were handled which is by 12,3% more than within the first four months of the last year, when 1,4 MLN tons of these cargoes were handled.

The turnover of general cargoes has decreased by 22,9% reaching 1,6 MLN tons. During the respective period of the last year approximately 2,1 MLN tons of these cargoes were handled.

During the first four months of the current year 21 749 passengers were serviced at the Freeport of Riga, which is by 24,7% less than within the respective period of the last year, when 28 895 passengers were serviced. 1044 of them were cruise passengers, which is by 49,1% more than during last year’s four months. The first cruise ships have come to Riga on April.
