During the first six months of the current year 12,851 MLN tons of cargoes were handled at the Freeport of Riga, which is by 6,4% more than within the respective period of the last year, when 12,081 MLN tons were handled.
During the first six months of the current year 8,050 MLN tons of bulk cargoes were handled at the Freeport of Riga which is by 16,6% more than within the respective period of the last year, when 6,905 MLN tons were handled.
Also 2,315 MLN tons of liquid cargoes were handled which is by 17,7% more than within the first six months of the last year, when 1,966 MLN tons of these cargoes were handled.
The turnover of general cargoes has decreased by 22,6% reaching 2,486 MLN tons. During the respective period of the last year approximately 3,210 MLN tons of these cargoes were handled.
During the first six months of the current year 79 942 passengers were serviced at the Freeport of Riga, which is by 1,8% less than within the respective period of the last year, when 81 371 passengers were serviced. 14 740 of them were cruise passengers, which is by 52,4% less than during last year’s six months.
