During the first five months of the current year 10,675 MLN tons of cargoes were handled at the Freeport of Riga, which is by 6,3% more than within the respective period of the last year, when 10,046 MLN tons were handled.


During the first five months of the current year 6,708 MLN tons of bulk cargoes were handled at the Freeport of Riga which is by 17,6% more than within the respective period of the last year, when 5,701 MLN tons were handled.

Also 1,886 MLN tons of liquid cargoes were handled which is by 12,9% more than within the first five months of the last year, when 1,672 MLN tons of these cargoes were handled.

The turnover of general cargoes has decreased by 22,1% reaching 2,081 MLN tons. During the respective period of the last year approximately 2,673 MLN tons of these cargoes were handled.

During the first five months of the current year 43 610 passengers were serviced at the Freeport of Riga, which is by 12,4% less than within the respective period of the last year, when 49 769 passengers were serviced. 6068 of them were cruise passengers, which is by 43,6% more than during last year’s five months.
