During the first nine months of the current year 19,287 MLN tons of cargoes were handled, which is by 1% less than during respective period of the last year, when the Freeport handled 19,486 MLN tons.
During this period the Freeport handled 4,339 MLN tons of general cargoes, which is by 15% more than during last year’s respective period when 3,774 MLN tons were handled.
This year 11,131 MLN tons of bulk cargoes were handled which is by 7,6% less if compared to first nine months of 2006, when 12,042 MLN tons were handled.
3,828 MLN tons of liquid cargoes were handled, which is by 4% more than within the first nine months of the last year when 3,671 MLN tons were handled.
During the first nine months of the current year 367 986 passengers were serviced in the Freeport of Riga, which is by 85% more than last year, when 198 743 passengers were serviced. Of those, 127 977 persons were cruise passengers.
