During the first ten months of the current year 21,695 MLN tons of cargoes were handled, which is by 6,6% more than during respective period of the last year, when the Freeport handled 20,357 MLN tons.


This year 13,355 MLN tons of bulk cargoes were handled, reaching 9,5% increase if compared to first ten months of 2005, when 12,197 MLN tons were handled.

4,118 MLN tons of liquid cargoes were handled, which is by 43,8% more than within the first ten months of the last year, when 2,863 MLN tons were handled.

During this period the Freeport handled 4,223 MLN tons of general cargoes, which is by 20,3% less than during last year’s respective period, when 5,297 MLN tons were handled.

During the first ten months of the current year 217 043 passengers were serviced in the Freeport of Riga, which is by 14,6% more than last year, when 189 313 passengers were serviced. Of those, 78 186 persons were cruise passengers.
