Today on the ocation of the 805 anniversary of the Riga Freeport the best stevedore companies were greeted.
The companies were rated by different criteria.
"Alpha osta" Ltd. and "Man-Tess" Ltd. were presented with prize for contribution in category of the specialised terminals of the Freeport of Riga, "Baltic Container Terminal" Ltd. was acknowledged the best container cargo terminal, and "Strek" Ltd. was presented with prize for achievement in category of bulk cargoes.
"Jaunmilgravja Port Company" Ltd was acknowledged the best general cargo terminal, "Riga Central Terminal" Ltd – the best multifunctional terminal, the prize for best indices of ship agencies was presented to "Astramar" Ltd.
Such ceremony was held for the first time in the history of the Freeport of Riga. It is planned to become a tradition and the best companies are to be greeted every year during the port celebrations.
