The Freeport Board stipulates the 100 % rebate in regards of shifting

 

 

 

With the aim of improving the competitiveness within the region and maintain leader’s status among the Baltic ports, in September 2013 the Freeport of Riga Board decided on the 100 % canal due rebate application in case of a vessel's shifting. The changes provide that the 100% discount is applied to shifting at two Freeport’s berths - MS-2 and ZO-19. The said rebate also applies to navigating of vessels to the outer roads and shifting at the relevant berths, to all businesses operating in the port in case of additional loading or unloading of a vessel. It is planned that the said amendments will foster maximum use of vessels’ capacity, will facilitate the attraction of new vessels and promote the growth of cargo turnover.
