During ten months of the current year 20,357MLN tons of cargoes were handled at the Freeport of Riga, which is by 1,2% more than during of the respective period of the last year, when 20,119MLN tons were handled.


This year 12,197MLN tons of bulk cargoes were handled, reaching 14% growth comparing to ten months of 2004.

The amount of general and liquid cargoes has decreased.

During this period 5,297MLN tons of general cargoes were handled at the Freeport, which is by 4,5% less than during respective period of the last year, when 5,548 MLN tons were handled.

The turnover of liquid cargoes at the Freeport of Riga this year has decreased by 26% until 2,863MLN tons.

During ten months of the current year 189 313 passengers were serviced, which is by 11,2% less than last year. Of those 92 923 persons were cruise passengers, the number of which has decreased by 23,2%.
