In partnership with the Sarkandaugava Development Association, a comprehensive plan has been successfully executed to enhance the Sarkandaugava waterfront, precisely at the confluence of the old arm of the Sarkandaugava River and the main Sarkandaugava River. This initiative involved the removal of overgrown shrubs, stumps, and the dismantling of concrete structures that were detracting from the urban landscape. Furthermore, long-standing household waste accumulated in the area has been diligently cleared and disposed of, followed by the seeding of grass to restore the natural environment.
The riverbank underwent a thorough restoration process, involving the clearing of reeds, dredging of sludge, and the introduction of white sand, significantly elevating its aesthetic appeal. Additionally, efforts were made to rid the riverbed of large debris, creating an environment conducive to attracting divers. What was once a degraded area on the riverbank has now been transformed into a fully accessible, inviting waterfront space for public use.
