On June 14 one of the two exclusive trimaran yachts, built by the company “Latitude Yachts”, left the port of Riga. This yacht is the first one that was entirely built by the company “Latitude Yachts”. The company's exclusive boats are built in Sarkandaugava, on the territory of the Freeport of Riga, where the main production facilities of the company are located. Fifty-three-meter yachts are the longest yachts of its kind in the world and several innovative technological solutions, which are used only by the company “Latitude Yachts”, have been used in the framework of the manufacturing process.
The Freeport of Riga Environment and Development Department Director Mrs. Inita Luna: “We are pleased that the company’s “Latitude Yachts” production facilities are located in Riga port. One of the Freeport of Riga Authority's tasks is to create a favorable business environment at the port, as well as to promote high value-added manufacturing and services within the port territory. Therefore, we try to support such companies as “Latitude Yachts” which is focused on high value-added production. Creation of such undertakings on the Freeport territory shows that there is a favorable environment, providing a positive signal for both local and foreign entrepreneurs and investors.”
The company “Latitude Yachts”, located on the port territory, permanently employs around 200 people, but periodically up to 500 employees.
