Latitude Yachts LNT-27 katamarans

Ship design and construction company “Latitude Construction”, working under the Latitude Yachts brand in the Port of Riga, will establish a new company “Latitude Naval Technologies” with the aim to develop modern offshore platforms for security and defense operations.

Thus, another company will join the innovative and military technology production facilities of the Port of Riga, developing a new direction in the Latvian shipbuilding industry, combining extensive experience in shipbuilding with the growing demand for modern maritime safety technologies. In the current conditions, such a production facility will not only contribute to the economic growth of Latvia but also boost the security of Latvia and its partners.

The first project of the new company - the tactical catamaran LNT-27 - is intended for use in maritime security operations, patrolling and other specialized tasks where a fast, stable and efficient marine platform is required.

The newly created company “Latitude Naval Technologies” will develop production in Latvia, employing the local workforce and enhancing the country's engineering competence. It is planned to build a modern infrastructure for composite shipbuilding in Riga. In the framework of the project it is planned to create high value-added jobs, promote technology transfer and provide a long-term contribution to the development of the Latvian defense industry.

To advance this initiative, the company is expanding its team and seeking engineers, naval architects, technicians, and other specialists eager to develop next-generation marine technologies.

The company “Latitude Construction”, which works under the trademark Latitude Yachts in the port of Riga, has been designing and building ships, yachts and various sea platforms for more than 20 years, working with both traditional materials, such as steel and aluminum, and modern composite materials.

Through partnerships across Europe and the United States, the company has gained extensive experience in executing international projects and providing integrated engineering and production solutions. Its expertise spans beyond ship design to include the development of advanced manufacturing technologies.

Latitude Yachts specializes in large-scale composite structures, advanced manufacturing technologies and robotic precision milling, making it possible to produce complex geometries and high-precision parts for shipbuilding.
